Honoring Anneliese Blanton

In 2023, Anneliese’s mother, Michelle, reached out to us with heartfelt words in memory of her beloved young daughter. We offer our deep condolences and extend our sincere gratitude to Michelle. We are profoundly moved by this thoughtful gesture during such a difficult time.

“Anneliese loved her friends and family deeply and was obsessed with our elderly dachshund Bogart. She had a beautiful singing voice and sang with the Douglass Middle School Choir. When I was trying to decide what to do with the money she had on hand in her room, I realized the perfect place was with your organization where her funds could be used to help dogs in need because she loved them so much.We adopted our other dog Piper and our adoption fees were covered by someone else at Christmas time so it feels good to pay it forward somehow.

I hope the donation in her memory will help. My baby would be proud if she could see where her money is going.”

December 2025

We posted on Instagram that our washing machine was broken and we desperately needed clean towels for our kittens and pups. Our community really came through!

Thank you, thank you.

Speaking of washing machines, Dump Ninja donated a washer/dryer for the cat shed! They are a local, family-owned, junk removal company in Woodland and we are deeply appreciative of their community spirit.

A heartfelt thank you to the generous community member who donated a stroller. Pom Pom is pictured enjoying the ride and it will go on to support many pets who need comfort, mobility, and a gentle way to explore the world. Thank you!
