According to the American Humane Association (PDF), about 1 in 10 dogs are returned or given away within 6 months of adoption. Preparation is worth its weight in gold when it comes to transitioning a rescue animal.
Sponsoring a pet means you're ensuring all of our animals go home ready with the basics. This lets the adopter get settled more quickly without having to run right to the store leaving their new pet home alone.
